Signing In¶
SLIM runs entirely in the browser. There is nothing to install.
Getting to SLIM¶
As SLIM runs entirely in the browser, open your browser of choice and enter the SLIM login URL provided to you in the address bar.
The Login page will appear with text fields for your username and password.
Enter these exactly as provided as they are case-sensitive.
Click the Login button.
If your username and password are successfully authenticated, you will arrive at the Projects List page.
If you cannot reach SLIM¶
If you see an error message referencing “Connection was reset” or “Try checking the proxy or the firewall”, it is likely one of two causes:
- your IP address has not been configured to access the SLIM application:
check with your SnapLogic Customer Success Manager (CSM), Account Manager, or SnapLogic Support for assistance, and
provide your external-facing IP address to the SnapLogic team (your favorite search engine can direct you to free IP checking tools); or
- your organization’s firewall is blocking the HTTPS connection required to access the SLIM URL:
work with your IT team that owns the firewall restrictions to approve HTTPS protocol access to the SLIM URL domain provided.
Your account and what it can see¶
Access to Projects and SLIM behaviors is restricted along three lines: your organization sets the outer boundary, your Team memberships decide which Projects you can open, and your permissions decide what you can do once inside one.
A senior user in your organization holds delegated administrative access, and will be able to grant you what you need to support your role in the SLIM application. If you are unsure who that is, ask whoever gave you your password.
